Welcome to Heritage Point
Where history, hospitality, and elegance come together
OUR STORY
Rooted in History, Reimagined for Celebration
Nestled on a breathtaking 10+ acre property in Richlands, North Carolina, Heritage Point is a timeless wedding and event venue that blends classic Southern charm with modern sophistication. Historically known as the Avirett-Stephens Plantation, the property has been intentionally transformed into a place of joy, unity, and new beginnings—welcoming all couples, families, and communities to celebrate life’s most meaningful milestones.

Heritage Point carries with it the weight of history and the promise of new beginnings. Originally established in 1851, this once-sprawling 25,000-acre estate played a prominent role in Onslow County’s agricultural and naval stores legacy.
The land has witnessed generations of Southern life — rich with tradition, complexity, and quiet strength. In 2012, the previous owners lovingly restored the Greek Revival home and revitalized the grounds, thoughtfully transforming the property into the stunning estate you see today. Their vision brought beauty and breath back into the space — preserving its architectural charm while making room for joyful gatherings.

As the current owner, I embrace the responsibility of transforming this space into a welcoming place for joyful moments, meaningful events, and shared stories. With reverence for its history and a heart for celebration, I’ve reimagined Heritage Point as a place where timeless elegance meets heartfelt connection. Here, we don’t just host weddings — we curate unforgettable experiences surrounded by history, nature, and love.
